Dr. Travis J. Carlson is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Translational Sciences at the College of Pharmacy at The University of Texas at Austin. In addition to his teaching, research, and service responsibilities within the College, he also cares for patients as a pediatric infectious diseases pharmacist at University Hospital in San Antonio.
Dr. Carlson received his Doctor of Pharmacy from Drake University and completed his PGY-1 Residency at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, followed by a two-year Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, Texas, in conjunction with the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. He is also a Board-Certified Infectious Diseases Pharmacist (BCIDP).

Dr. Emily Frederick is an Associate Professor and the Director of Student Affairs at Sullivan University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Louisville, Kentucky. She received a BS in Neuroscience from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia. Andrew B. Gainey, PharmD, AAHIVP, BCIDP, is a pediatric infectious disease clinical pharmacy subspecialist at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital – Midlands in Columbia, South Carolina. He also serves as the PGY2 Residency Program Director at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital - Midlands and is a clinical assistant professor at the University of South Carolina, College of Pharmacy. Julie Harting, PharmD, BCIDP, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Sullivan University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Louisville, KY. She is also a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist (Infectious Disease) at UofL Health where she manages infectious disease consult patients and assists with system-wide antimicrobial stewardship efforts including contributions to the SubCommittee for Antimicrobial Stewardship. In addition, Dr. Harting is a Gratis Faculty member with the University of Louisville Division of Infectious Disease and has collaborated on clinical research projects primarily focusing on bone and joint infections. This affiliation also created an opportunity for academic lectures to the University of Louisville Internal Medicine Residency Program as part of the Louisville Lectures series. Dr. Harting completed her Infectious Disease PGY-2 residency training in 2009, Making a Difference in Infectious Disease (MAD-ID) Antimicrobial Stewardship Certification in 2010, and infectious disease board certification in 2019.

David E. Koren, PharmD, MPH, BCIDP, AAHIVP, FIDSA is an Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacist and Director of the PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency for the Temple University Health System in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Adjunct Clinical Professor for the School of Pharmacy at Temple University, and faculty for the MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Centers. Dr. Koren received both his Doctor of Pharmacy and Masters in Public Health from Temple University and completed post-graduate Pharmacy Practice and Infectious Diseases residencies at Yale-New Haven Hospital and Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Koren is a board-certified Infectious Disease Pharmacy specialist and a credentialed HIV Pharmacist from the American Academy of HIV Medicine. His clinical interests include innovative models for pharmacist delivery of care as well as the prevention, treatment, and management of HIV and Hepatitis C. Dr. Koren has presented viral infection-related research abstracts at the regional, national, and international level and has published numerous manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals. He serves on the national pharmacists committee for the American Academy of HIV Medicine and was named a fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America.

Dr. Jerika Lam received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California Los Angeles and the Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Southern California (USC) School of Pharmacy. She completed a PGY1 residency at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and a two-year fellowship in HIV translational research at USC School of Pharmacy. She is Professor at Chapman University School of Pharmacy. She currently practices in an Infectious Diseases clinic with the AltaMed Medical Group in Anaheim. She is licensed as an Advanced Practice Pharmacist in California and credentialed by the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM). Dr. Lam is recognized as Fellow of the California Society of Health-System Pharmacists (CSHP). She has held state and national leadership positions as a Board of Director of CSHP, Board of Director of the CSHP Foundation on Research and Education, and co-chair of the Medication Safety Committee at the Patient Safety Movement Foundation. Dr. Lam has served as a member of the ASHP Faculty Advisory Panel, ASHP Council on Therapeutics, the AAHIVM Exam Writers’ Panel, and the AAHIVM Sexual Health Advisory Committee. She has given presentations on topics about HIV, HCV, and pharmacogenomics. She is the senior editor and author of a textbook called Pharmacogenomics: A Primer for Clinicians and the section editor of the HIV Pharmacotherapy: Clinical Approaches and Applications (second edition). She has authored several book chapters and journal articles on these topics. Dr. Lam has received intramural and external grant funding for HIV prevention, translational, and educational research.

Natasha N. Pettit, PharmD, BCIDP, is an Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacy Specialist practicing at the University of Chicago Medicine (UCM) since 2010. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Pacific and completed her residency training at the University of Michigan. Her current roles include Pharmacy Director of the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program and Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator for Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Services. Dr. Pettit has several research interests including: evaluating the use of the EHR in implementing stewardship interventions, infection management in the immune-compromised host, and treatment strategies for Clostridiodes difficile infections. Jessica Robinson, PharmD, BCIDP is an infectious diseases clinical pharmacy specialist and the associate director of the antimicrobial stewardship program at CAMC. She earned her PharmD degree from West Virginia University School of Pharmacy in 2008 and then went on to complete a PGY-1 residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Huntington, WV and a PGY-2 residency in infectious diseases at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Dr. Robinson serves on several hospital and state committees and is a content matter expert and author for the ASHP/ACCP Board Certified Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Preparatory Review Course. Her research interests include topics involving antimicrobial stewardship, pneumonia, and infective endocarditis.

Marylee Tailor received her Doctor of Pharmacy from Temple University School of Pharmacy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed two years of post doctoral residency training. Dr. Tailor is a board-certified infectious diseases pharmacist specialist. She was an assistant professor of pharmacy practice at Nova Southeastern University College of Pharmacy where she practiced antimicrobial stewardship/infectious diseases and taught infectious diseases pharmacotherapy for almost 11 years. As of March 2025, she is now transitioning to practicing as a clinical hospital pharmacist part time and taking care of her newborn and three year old children.
