Dr. Travis J. Carlson is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Translational Sciences at the College of Pharmacy at The University of Texas at Austin. In addition to his teaching, research, and service responsibilities within the College, he also cares for patients as a pediatric infectious diseases pharmacist at University Hospital in San Antonio.
Dr. Carlson received his Doctor of Pharmacy from Drake University and completed his PGY-1 Residency at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, followed by a two-year Infectious Diseases Fellowship at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center in Houston, Texas, in conjunction with the University of Houston College of Pharmacy. He is also a Board-Certified Infectious Diseases Pharmacist (BCIDP).

Andrew B. Gainey, PharmD, AAHIVP, BCIDP, is a pediatric infectious disease clinical pharmacy subspecialist at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital – Midlands in Columbia, South Carolina. Julie Harting, PharmD, BCIDP, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice at Sullivan University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and a Clinical Pharmacist Specialist (Infectious Disease) at University Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Inpatient clinical activities include antimicrobial stewardship and management of infectious disease consult patients. She also facilitates outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy transitions and is a contributing member of the SubCommittee for Antimicrobial Stewardship. In addition, Dr. Harting is a Gratis Faculty member with the University of Louisville Division of Infectious Disease and has collaborated on multiple clinical research projects. This affiliation also created an opportunity for academic lectures to the University of Louisville Internal Medicine Residency Program as part of the Louisville Lectures series. Dr. Harting completed her Infectious Disease PGY-2 residency training in 2009, Making a Difference in Infectious Disease (MAD-ID) Antimicrobial Stewardship Certification in 2010, and Board Certification in Infectious Disease Pharmacotherapy (BCIDP) in 2019. She has pursued professional advancement through research and publications, continuing education modules in antimicrobial stewardship, and board certification modules in skin and soft tissue infections and bone and joint infections.

Koren, PharmD, MPH, AAHIVP, FIDSA is an Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacist for the Temple University Health System in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Adjunct Clinical Professor for the School of Pharmacy at Temple University, and faculty for the MidAtlantic AIDS Education and Training Centers. Dr. Koren received both his Doctor of Pharmacy and Masters in Public Health from Temple University and completed post-graduate Pharmacy Practice and Infectious Diseases residencies at Yale-New Haven Hospital and Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Koren is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist and a credentialed HIV Pharmacist from the American Academy of HIV Medicine. His clinical interests include innovative models for pharmacist delivery of care as well as the prevention, treatment, and management of HIV and Hepatitis C. Dr. Koren has presented viral infection-related research abstracts at the regional, national, and international level and has published numerous manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals. He serves on national committees for both the American Academy of HIV Medicine and the HIV Medicine Association and was named a fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America.

Dr. Jerika Lam received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California Los Angeles and the Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Southern California (USC) School of Pharmacy. She completed a PGY1 residency at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and a two-year fellowship in HIV translational research at USC School of Pharmacy. She is an Associate Professor at Chapman University School of Pharmacy. She currently practices as a faculty-in-residence at an Infectious Diseases clinic with the AltaMed Medical Group in Anaheim, California. She is licensed as an Advanced Practice Pharmacist in California and credentialed by the American Academy of HIV Medicine (AAHIVM). Dr. Lam is Fellow of the California Society of Health-System Pharmacists (CSHP). She has served as a Board of Director for CSHP and its Foundation on Research and Education. Furthermore, she has served on the International Pharmaceutical Federation Policy Committee on Patient Safety, was the co-chair of the Medication Safety Committee at the Patient Safety Movement Foundation, and a current member on the National Patient Safety Board Advocacy Coalition. She also serves on the Patient Safety Movement Foundation Advisory Board. Dr. Lam is a member of the ASHP Faculty Advisory Panel, ASHP Council on Therapeutics, and the AAHIVM Exam Writers’ Panel. She has given presentations and authored several book chapters and journal articles on the topics about HIV, HCV, pharmacogenomics, and patient safety. She is the senior editor and author of a textbook called Pharmacogenomics: A Primer for Clinicians. Dr. Lam has received intramural and external grant funding for HIV, translational, and educational research.

Natasha N. Pettit, PharmD, BCIDP, is an Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacy Specialist practicing at the University of Chicago Medicine (UCM) since 2010. Dr. Kayla R. Stover is the Assistant Dean-Jackson, Vice-Chair and Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy, with joint appointments at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Medicine-Infectious Diseases. She serves as the PGY2 Infectious Diseases Residency Program Director for the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Stover received her Pharm.D. degree from Ohio Northern University, completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency at West Virginia University Hospitals, and a PGY2 Infectious Diseases residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Stover is a board certified infectious diseases pharmacist and a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist. In the PharmD Curriculum, Stover teaches in the second and third professional years and takes students on experiential rotations. Her research interests include infectious diseases, with specific interest in antifungal pharmacotherapy, antimicrobial stewardship, and special populations; scholarship of education; and pharmacy residency training. Stover serves in many professional organizations, including the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), the American Society for Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP), the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA), and the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists. She currently serves on the ACCP Board of Regents, ASHP-ACCP Infectious Diseases Board Certification Preparatory and Renewal Course leadership team, and the Journal of the ACCP Editorial Board. Stover has been recognized as a Fellow of ACCP and the IDSA.
